How we calculate
Concrete volume = length × width × depth in consistent units. Cement weight = concrete volume × specified cement content × (1 + allowance ÷ 100). Divide by cement bag weight and round up.
Before you buy
Use cement content from a specified concrete mix design. Cement content alone does not establish concrete strength. Sand, aggregate, water, admixtures, and reinforcement are not calculated. For structural work, use the project specifications. The allowance is applied once to cement weight.
